Sure, there are brief moments in our lives when we meet someone we can help; but, sometimes those moments are few.
Within ICreate Inc, we talk a lot about purpose and generally, everyone’s purpose always goes back to sustaining and supplying something to the people/ world around them. We thrive off of these interactions and without the help of kind hearts, nothing in this world could ever be accomplished.
I say this because over the past few months, we’ve heard about the horrific natural disaster that impacted two islands of The Bahamas. Grand Bahama Island and The Abacos. Homes were damaged, lives were lost, and a sense of normalcy is something that won’t be present for some time. Fortunately, here in Atlanta and around the globe, people have banded together to help and support the people in those islands who have been impacted immensely.
It’s going to Take A Village! Honestly, when you think about true restoration, there is always strength in numbers and in knowing that there are many people out there who care.
If you’ve been following our journey, you’d know that showing people that they have helping hands in a time of disaster is part of our mission. This year, we’ve even garnered a tremendous amount of support with our “It Takes A Village Project” from individuals and organizations such as the Bahamas Consulate General, Broken Silence Ministries, More Than Conquerors Ministries, Grace Christian Academy, Beulah Heights University, and Lashun Ferguson.
With their assistance, we were able to collect and package 12 pallets complete with supplies that can provide immediate assistance to the people on Grand Bahama Island - the hometown of my wife Nicoya and her family.
But, the task is far from complete. Tony Robbins once said, “The path to success is massive determined action” and we are determined to make this task an action by bringing aid to the victims of Hurricane Dorian.
However, we can’t do it without your help! As we venture into phase two of moving supplies, we need more support from our Village! If you would like to assist in offsetting $5,500.00 in monetary or in kind donations to ensure that families in The Bahamas receive the items collected, please send us an email at info@icreateleadership.org with a description of your donation.
Also, be sure to check out our store for new #BahamasStrong apparel, where all proceeds will go towards completing the delivery of 12 pallets to Grand Bahama Island. We hope that you will continue with us on this journey, and choose to always make an impact in the lives of others around you!
